PROSPECTIVE STUDENTS: ATTEND AN OPEN HOUSE

Our expanded definition of student success.

At Intrinsic, we are deeply committed to the postsecondary success of all of our students. We recognize that academic achievement alone will not be enough to ensure all students are able to pursue their passions and obtain a competitive, well-paying job that launches a career.

Therefore, we take a more comprehensive approach to understanding student growth and progress. We believe this expanded lens, which includes outcomes focused on both our EPIC values and academics, better prepares students for success in college, career and life.

Intrinsic students graduate with skills in eight key areas. The first four are our EPIC values.

Students also learn and practice four key academic skills:

Think.
Students find, discern and analyze information from multiple sources and perspectives.
Solve.
Students craft innovative and optimal solutions to problems in their community, independently and collaboratively.
Communicate.
Students write, speak, listen and present in ways that are compelling for a given audience.
Reflect.
Students routinely evaluate processes and seek to improve their Think-Solve-Communicate-Reflect cycle.
“As a first generation college student who is undocumented, I had to work harder than everyone else. Intrinsic saw my hunger and supported and cared for me as I navigated the challenges.”
