Because most Belmont Campus students enroll in 7th Grade and stay through 12th Grade, we are only able to accept a very limited number of new 9th Graders each year. (Students who graduate from the Belmont Campus almost always enroll in 7th Grade.)

At Intrinsic Belmont, we run our own lottery for all grades except for 9th Grade. For 9th Grade, we rely on Chicago Public School’s GoCPS system. For the Intrinsic lottery (Grades 7, 8, 10, 11 and 12) families will receive an email and text from SchoolMint immediately after the lottery, followed by a phone call and paper mail. Families will then have until March 20, 2026 to accept or decline any Intrinsic offer. Please note that due to high retention rates, we are rarely able to take transfer students – most students who enroll at Intrinsic Belmont join us as 7th Graders.

Because the Downtown Campus serves Grades 9-12, we are able to accept 270 new high school students each year. Students who graduate from the Downtown Campus almost always enroll in 9th Grade. Retention rates are high here, too, so new student transfers after 9th Grade are possible, but relatively rare. 

Our 2026-2027 Lottery will be held on March 5th at 6pm in person and zoom. All applicants will receive zoom link that morning of the lottery.
