Ms. Crittendon grew up near Intrinsic and is excited to be teaching 11th grade United States Government and Advanced Placement United States Government and Politics in her community! She attended Carthage College in Kenosha, Wisconsin where she studied history, broad field social science, and secondary education. Ms. Crittendon graduated in 2010 with Latin honors and is a first generation college graduate. After her first year of teaching, she was awarded the Best High School Teacher award in 2011 from the Kenosha News. Wanting to further develop as a culturally responsive educator, Ms. Crittendon earned a Master’s of Literacy and English as a Second Language program at Cardinal Stritch University in Milwaukee. Ms. Crittendon has taught for 6 years including two years at a high-performing charter high school in Milwaukee and one year with Chicago’s Noble Network where she was dedicated to closing the achievement gap and preparing students for college and meaningful careers.
